CAPITOL

NEW TALKIES TOMORROW Outstanding talkie programmes continue to be shown at the Capitol Theatre, Dominion Road. “The Canary Murder Case,” the fine all-talking mystery thriller, will be presented for the last time this evening, together with the short talkie features. William Powell has the role of Philo Vance in the S. S. van Dine detective story, and is supported by a large and talented cast. From tomorrow the Capitol will present an entirely new sound programme, headed by the all-talkie, “The Doctor’s Secret,” based on Sir James Barrie’s play “Half an Hour.” Ruth Chatterton, who gave a memorable portrayal as “Madame X,” has the chief role, supported by H. B. Warner. John Loder and many other stage players have prominent roles.
