ENGLAND OUT FOR 191
MATCH AGAINST WESTERN AUSTRALIA BOWLEY UNBEATEN AT 79 PERTH, Friday. The English cricketers continued their first innings today against Western Australia, who had made 185. The Englishmen had made 25 yesterday for no wickets. The weather was cloudy with drizzling showers, and there was only a fair attendance. It was a bowler’s wicket for the earlier portion of the play.
Duleepsinhji’s appearance was cheered, but a sensation was caused when he was cleaned bowled by a yorker for one run.
The hero of the day was Bowley, who in spite of a painfully injured hand doggedly saved his side. The Englishmen had lost six wickets for 5S runs, but the improving wicket aided the batting.
