KNOCKED OUT AT PRAYER MEETING TWO YOUNG MEN FINED £l “These two young men were drunk in Karangahape Road. They bumped into a religious meeting but were immediately bumped out again. Unfortunately for them they struck a snag, a man who was handy with his fists, and he put them both to sleep for a few minutes.” qO Sub-Inspector McCarthy, at the ® Police Court this morning, gave his version of the events that led to the appearance of two young men on charges of being disorderly while drunk in Cobden Street. The sub-inspector said that the two accused had endeavoured to take part in several religious meetings before encountering trouble, which had resulted in their arrest by Constable Gawler. “They missed that collection box, but they won't miss this one, remarked Mr. F.
