BRIDE’S CHIFFON ROSES CALVERT—HARVEY St. Mark’s Church, Remuera, was the scene of a pretty evening wedding on Wednesday, when the marriage or Nea Huia, second daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. D. H. Harvey, of Taumarunui, to Reginald Charles, second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Calvert, Whangarei, was solemnised by the Rev. W. Cruickshank. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Stanley Harvey, wore a dainty frock of white georgette, with a deep belt of raised chiffon roses, and sprays of the same at the neck and at intervals on the dress. Her embroidered veil was caught to the head with a coronet of orangeblossom, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and lily of the valley. The bridesmaids, the Misses Gladys Chcrraan, Devonport, and Marie Tomlinson, Taumarunui, wore frocks of blue and primrose satin respectively. Miss Charman’s shoulder spray of pink toned with her bouquet of flowers in the same shade, and Miss Tomlinson chose lilac and sweet peas for net bouquet to match her shoulder-knot of lilac and pansies. Little Heather Harvey, niece of the bride, made a dainty flower-girl in mauve organdie, with a basket of roses. Mr. Ivan Whitehead supported the bridegroom as best man. A reception was afterward held at the Orient Tearooms, where some 50 guests were entertained by Mrs. .Harvey, wearing a frock of black crepe de chine, relieved with cream lace, and a hat to tone. Her bouquet was of pink and crimson roses. Mrs. Calvert, mother of the bridegroom. wore apricot silk and hat to tone, her bouquet being of tulips.
