Mrs. H. Clark and Miss Doris Clark have returned to Hamilton from a visit to the Islands.

Miss P. Noble, of Cambridge, is a visitor to Rotorua.

Miss P. Lysnar, who has been the guest of Miss Aileen Nelson in Cambridge, has returned to Rotorua.

FAREWELL BRIDGE PARTY" In the bridge room of the Lyceum Club on Thursday afternoon, Mrs. H. J. Greenslade gave a delightful bridge party for Mrs. Meek, who is shortly leaving Hamilton for the summer months. _

Mrs. Greenslade received her guests Avearing a frock of bottle green satin and a black hat. Mrs. Meek wore a smart frock and hat of tobacco brown.

Afternoon tea was enjoyed later in the lounge, the tables looking attractive with shaded Iceland poppies. Among the other guests were Mrs. F. B. Jolly, Mrs. T. B. Insoll, Mrs. T. Jolly, Mrs. E. Clarke, Mrs. J. Williams, Mrs, P. Stevens, Mrs. F. E. Peacocke, Mrs. E. R. Gresham, Mrs. W. D. Ross, Mrs. L. Sheppard, Mrs. A. E. Cox, Mrs. J. Chitty, Mrs. J. Gray, Mrs. C. Reese, Mrs. H. J. McMullen, Mrs. H. Haseler, Mrs. Wyvern Wilson, Mrs. N. Ratcliff e, Miss E. Eggleston, Miss C. Wallnutt, Miss Brown (Auckland), Miss G. Wyatt, Miss M. Stevens, Miss C. Jolly and Miss G. Eggleston. * * * DANCE AND CARD PARTY On Wednesday evening St. Peter’s Hall was the scene of a very jolly dance and card party as a farewell to the Tennis Club captain, Mr. L. Pye. Multi-coloured streamers and balloons formed an effective decoration in the hall, and good music was played by Hildreth’s Orchestra. During the evening Dean Barnett, president of the club, made a pleasant little speech of farewell to Mr. Pye, and asked him to accept a leather attache-case from the club, for which he had worked so hard. Later Mr. Smith, on. behalf of his non-tennis playing friends. presented Mr. Pye with a leather wallet and wished him success and happiness in the future.
