PAEROA NOTES
Miss K. V. O’Grady, who lias been infant mistress at the Paeroa School for the past four years, has taken up an appointment at the Mount Albert School, and commences her new duties on Monday. Mrs. L. A. Whitmore has been temporarily appointed at Paeroa.
Prior to his departure for Greymouth, Mr. J. C. 11. McDonald was the recipient of a gold-mounted pencil from the Paeroa School Committee, of which he was chairman. The presentation was made by Mr. C. T. Mettam, deputy-chairman, who eulogised Mr. McDonald s services to the committee. Mr. McDonald suitably responded.
At St. Paul s Church', on Wednesday the Bishop of Waikato, the Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to a number of candidates presented by the vicar, the Rev. W. S. 11. Weadon. The Rev. W. Lea. curate of Rotorua, assisted as chajDlain.
The quarterly meeting of the Thames \ aley Past Grand Lodge was held on M ednesday. the president, Bro D Currie, presided. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, P.G. Bro. C.
