NEW PLAN OF CONTROL

BRITISH MOTOR TRANSPORT SERVICES British Official Wireless RUGBY, Thursday. Proposals for the creation of an entirely new scheme for the control of the motor transport services are submitted in the second report issued by the Royal Commission on Transport. This suggests that Britain should be divided into 14 areas in which there would be traffic authorities consisting of three commissioners. It would be their duty to control the licensing of public service vehicles and to co-ordinate the passenger-carry-ing services. In the carrying out of their licensing duties it is proposed that the commissioners should have regard to the elimination of unnecessary services and the supervision of time-tables and fares.
