AUCKLANDER WINS TITLE Press Association ELLINGTON, Thursday. In the New Zealand amateur billiards championship tonight, A. Bowie, Auckland, the holder, defeated H. AVakem, Federal Club, by 66ti to 581. The winner was not quite up to his best form, having travelled from Auckland the previous night. AVakem made quite a good contest, and in the early stages shaped like the winner. Bowie’s winning hazards wore a strong feature of the play.
