FIRST YACHT RACE

RICHMOND CLUB BEGINS SEASON LIST OF HANDICAPS The first yacht race of the season will be held tomorrow afternoon by the Richmond Cruising Club. The destination is Beachhaven. From the start off Ponsonby Wharf at 3.15 the boats will go round the Rons buoy on the port, thence straight to Beachhaven. The finishing line is between the wharves there and a buoy moored due west. The three-flag system will be used in starting, one minute between each flag. Mr. J. Dennis will act as starter and Mr. T. L. Thompson as judge and time-keeper. Following are the entries and handicaps’—Starlock, scr.: Why Not and Marere 3m; Mowai and June, sm; Matariki and Lormt, 7m; Wild Wave, 8m: Sun and Leveret, 9m; Sea Crest and Desdemona, 10m; Lois, 11m; Phyllis, 25m; Tamure, 28m: Maureen. 30m.
