LOAN SANCTIONED
ELLERSLIE DRAINAGE WORK The Ellerslie Town Board’s proposal to raise a special loan of £1,200 for drainage work was sanctioned at a poll held yesterday. The interest displayed. by ratepayers was very little, only 170 out of 1,235 on the roll voting. The result was:—For, 115; against, 61. The loan is for the purpose of extending the sewers connecting houses situated in the Waitemata watershed, adjoining Marua Road and Umere Crescent.
