PARTY AT PAPATOETOE

COMING-OF-AGE OF MISS ROSEVEARE CHARMING DECORATIONS A delightful party was given bv the Kev. and Mrs. T. hi. Roseveare. at their residence, The Manse. Great South Road, Papatoetoe, on Tuesday evening, in honour of the coming-uf-ago of their daughter, Leah. More than 30 guests were present, and spent a very pleasant evening in games and competitions. The latter were won by Miss Margaret Wilson and Messrs. Lewis Hungerford and Norman Hicks. Very pleasing vocal solos were also contributed by Misses Mary Wilson and Bertha Wyllie. .The rooms were prettily decorated with tall vases of poppies and pansies, and the supper tables were decked with a mass of spring blooms in shades of pink, intermingled with festoons of maiden-hair fern. Pride of place was occupied by a daintily iced birthday cake carrying the requisite number of candles. Mr. R. G. Sellar, uncle of the guest of honour, proposed her health, and Miss Roseveare suitably responded. Mrs. Roseveare received the guests wearing a frock of black panne velvet with touches of amber. Miss Roseveare wore a pretty frock of duchess blue crepe de chine, and ashes of roses shawl.
