JUNIOR UNITED’S DEBATE

“THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD” A debate on the subject “That the future of the -world rests with the yellow and brown races,” occupied the attention of the Junior United Political Organisation at its ordinary meeting last evening - . The affirmative side was taken by Messrs. E. J. V. Dyson, J. Beacham and M. Walker on behalf of the Junior Uniteds, and the negative side of the case was upheld by three members of the Auckland Forensic Club. Mr. C. Clark, president, was in the chair, and Mr. Phillips acted as adjudicator. After hearing lengthy arguments, the judge declared the team from the Forensic Club the winners by a narrow margin.
