In the Magistrate’s Court this morn- ! ing Maurice William Baker, an adver- | tising agent, aged 32, was charged that, being married, he went through | the form of marriage with Nancy l Patricia Holmes at Wellington on January 8, 1929. He was remanded j till November 7. I The chief-detective opposed bail, saying that Baker was married in England and left his wife a week later, coming out to New Zealand and marrying again. The magistrate said he would fix the question in chambers later.
