From Our Own Correspondent TAUMARUNUI. Tuesday. Young cattle made good prices at the fortnightly sale today, and most of the yarding changed hands. Values ranged:—Cattle: Light fat empty cows. £7 : others. £3 to £ 4 10s: 2 ryrd 3-year-old steers. Black Polls. £9: other 2 and 3-year-olds. £8 to £S 17s; 25-year-old Hereford steers, £7 los: 2-year heifers. £6 10s: store bullocks, £7 15s to £0 ss: 18-montlis steers, £7 to £9 3s: run cows (Black Poll-Hereford cross). .£9. Sheep: Shorn wethers. 23s 4d; woolly hoggets. 24s lOd; 2-tooth shorn wethers, ewes with lambs, 33s 3d: woolly hoggets. 2 2s. Pigs: Bmall weaners. los; good weaners. ISs: good store pigs, 245: small porkers. 275.
