The bank section is dull, and most shares remain at low figure-. Commercial of Australia have eased to >a!es at 26 s 2d. [National of New Zealand sold last evening at £ 6 14s. leaving the market slightly firmer. Wales are easier, while Union of Australia itave sellers at £l4 Os 6d, buyers quoting £l4 7s. Gas shares are inclined to firm. Buyers have advanced to 24s Sd, sellers now quoting 24s lOd, and sales "4s Bd. The contg. issue are unsupported. Timber is neglected. Bartholomew havo buyers at 20s 6d. Kauri are weak, sellers quoting 17s Od. LeylandO’Brien have sellers at 325, shares unsupported. Nationals have persistent buyers at 8s 3d, sellers quoting at Os. Mining is active, and many sales arc being transacted. Ohinemuri are wteady. Waihi.s are selling at 33s 7d. leaving the market unchanged. Mount Lyell are inclined to case.
