NAKED BERLIN BATHERS
CULT OF THE NUDE EXTENDS IN GERMANY NEW HIGH-CLASS CLUB BERLIN, Tuesday. The cult of the nude has reached such proportions in Germany that a high-class club has been formed, with its headquarters at Wellenbad, a famous swimming pool, where a moving wall at one end produces an artificial surf. Between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. it is closed to the public, and open to members only. The club consists of Berlin society men and women, and the members include at least one prince, and sevI eral barons and baronesses, who j mingle with each other both in the water and out of it without the slight- | est embarrassment, and take refreshments at the tables in the same j unclad state. : The club is merely one of many | similar clubs in Berlin, the members I of which regard themselves as serious S devotees of a healthy cult of nature. | The clubs are registered with the ' police, who on no occasion have in- : terfered with their activities.
