People had amicipated facilities similar to those pro- ' tded for Devonport. -Mr. Greenslade said that the present structure was inconvenient and uncomfortable for pedestrians. He hoped that the subject would receive the consideration of the board during the year. & .Mr. M H. XVynyard, chairman of the hard, referred to the tact that over-harbour transport was in the air aiitl there had been a discussion in some quarters about the continuance of the terry service. The board could scarcely be expected to consider seriously the erection of a new wharf at Xorthcote in view of that fact that a commission had been set up to deal with all aspects of the proposed harbour bridge.
