KAHIKA IN TROUBLE
CREW DISPUTES OVER WAGES TO WELLINGTON TO BE TOWED BY TUG Press Association GISBORNE, Today. Some difficulty is understood to have arisen in connection with the crew of the Kahika in regard to the rates of pay to be received on the voyage to Wellington. An examination of the Kahika’s hull has disclosed that the vessel is sound and seaworthy, but owing to the loss of two blades of her propeller, the vessel will be unable to make the trip to Wellington unassisted and will have to he taken in tow by the Terawhiti.
