GREY CASE AGAIN

13-YEAR-OLD FORGERY CHARGE POINT IN EX I ivADITION The John Grey case, involving a forgery charge from Texas and an interesting point under the Extradition Act, was again called before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today. When the case was brought forward in the morning, the Crown Solicitor, Mr. V. R. Meredith, secured an adjournment until this afternoon. Grey, who is 48. a land agent at Helensville, is charged under the name of A. B. Crouch, as being wanted in Texas, U.S.A.. on a forgery charge, 13 years old, involving 200,000 dollars. Information was laid before Mr. F. V. Fraser, stipendiary magistrate of New Zealand, of the warrant issued in Texas for the apprehension of A. B. Crouch, alias J. M. Cameron, accused of forgery and suspected of being a fugitive criminal within the meaning of the Extradition Act, the charge says in detail.
