RADIO EXHIBITION
TO OPEN TOMORROW SPEECH FROM WELLINGTON Nineteen radio dealers of Auckland will show a wide range of receivers, apparatus and accessories at the Auckland Radio Exhibition, which is to be opened in the Town Hall at 7.30 tomorrow evening by the PostmasterGeneral, the Hon. J. B. Donald, speaking by land-line from Wellington. His remarks will be broadcast by station IYA and will be heard all over the Town Hall by a loud-speaking system. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. George Baildon, and the chairman of the Auckland Electric-Power Board, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, will speak from the exhibition. A display has been arranged by the Amateur Radio Transmitters’ Association, and two radio journals will also have stalls. The stage at the Town Hall will be fitted up as a model studio, from which artists well known to listeners will broadcast. The exhibition will be open until the end of the week.
