Happy Crowds at Big Cabaret BEAUTIFUL FROCKING Cool sea breezes through open winrtows made dancing at Dixieland particularly delightful on Saturday. Some very beautiful trucking was seen among the dancers, and the music provided by Mr. Harry Neilson’s orchestra. met with much appreciation, beveral quite new and attractive numbers were played. Mrs. Hipkins had on a charming shell pink georgette frock with a full skirt of tiny frills. Mrs. Greenbank had chosen embossed chenille georgette in pale ochre yellow. Mrs. Eddowes wore embossed chenille georgette in unrelieved black. Miss Olga Read was wearing amethyst ring velvet with pleats of georgette in matching shade. Miss Murray was in unrelieved black georgette. , _ , Miss Ruth Owen wore an ankle-length frock of black georgette. Miss Noeline Wathy was in embossed georgette in lacquer red. Miss Myra Hosking was smartly frocked in scarlet lace with shoulder posy to tone. Miss Freeman was in georgette and lace in a pale honey shade. A frock of gold lame was chosen by Miss Beth Stokes. Miss Althea Parker wore georgette with an overdress of ecru lace. Miss M. Simmonds was wearing scarlet georgette with panels of gold lace. Miss Ifwerson had on a frock of peach georgette beaded in silver. Midnight blue and silver, with a deep hem of metal lace, was chosen by Miss Joan Hudson. . _ Miss Alison Huie wore a period frock of ivory taffeta. Miss Tinkerbell Jackson was wearing a frock of shaded blue georgette. Miss Jean Foreman chose a soft rose and blue satin frock. Miss Gretta Heron was in leaf green and black georgette, with beaded de--81 Turquoise blue taffeta shot with silver was worn bv Miss M. Hallowell. Miss M. Mortensen was in forest green crepe de chine. Miss Elsie Farrell had on gold net over deep gold taffeta. „ Miss R. Irwin chose black taffeta. Miss L. Irwin was wearing a frock of cerise georgette with black feather trimming. .. , , , Miss Nancy Martin chose black georgette with a beaded design in blue and Miss Ngaire Perkin wore shot taffeta in a deep fuchsia shade with uneven hem Johnston was in a frock of daffodil yellow crepe de chine. Sea green taffeta was worn by Miss A. Clarke. A chic gown of black cire lace was favoured by Miss Adeane. Miss Phyllis Hayson was m ivory satin and silver lace. Miss Kennedy wore a pale gold georgette and tissue frock. Miss Veda Nelson chose a frock of black lace. . , . . Georgette in persian rose beaded in gold was favoured by Miss Kirker. Miss R. Gibson was frocked in white georgette and lace.
