CHANGING QUARTERS
JIM BULLOCK TO SETTLE IN WAIKATO The veteran trainer Jim Bullock, who for many years Has been successfully associated with the Corrigan trotting establishment at Hawera, is making his final appearance at Alexandra Park with Horses carrying the blue, gold, and brown livery. For more than half a century “Old Jim” has been following the call of the equine in various departments, and in the education of young horses the veteran has a great record. Many wayward pacers and trotters, when placed under J.B.’s charge, were taught to go straight, and became useful performersJim Bullock has accepted a position in charge of Mr. Wilfred Johnstone’s stud farm, to which is being added this week the Ribbonwood horse, Blue Mountain King. When the latter was formerly in Auckland, he proved a high class 'performer, winning among other races the Auckland Clip, in which he was driven by George McKendrick. When placed at the service of breeders in this province, the Ribbonwood horse was not accorded much support, but recent events prove that given an opportunity, he can produce the goods. In his new' quarters, and under the care of J. Bullock, Blue Mountain King will have every chance to make a name for himseli at the stud.
