TO RELIEVE TRAFFIC CONGESTION.-A scheme is now before the Town Planning Committee of the City Council for linking Quay Street with Customs Street by way of Gore Street (pictured above) and the present short street between it and the railway station. The short street would have to be continued straight through and the two buildings seen in the distance would then have to be demolished.
