GREYCLIFFE DISASTER
UNION COMPANY SUED FOR £30,000 FERRY COMPANY’S CLAIM SYDNEY, q’uesday. The hearing has been commenced of the action by which Sydney Ferries, Limited, is claiming £30,000 damages from the Union Steam Ship Company, for the loss of the Greycliffe, which was sunk as the result of a collision near Garden Island with the Tahiti on November 3, 1927, when 42 lives were lost.
Counsel for , the ferry company said he would call evidence to prove that the Greycliffe was run down.
