METHODIST MISSIONS
ANNUAL CONFERENCE The Methodist Women’s Missionary Union of New Zealand continued its 15th annual Conference in the Pitt Street Methodist Church, yesterday, when the president, Mrs. G. Bowron, presided over an attendance of about 60 delegates. Among its other activities the union is responsible for paying the salaries of ten si-sters in the Solomon Islands and of three sisters among the Maori people. The annual report and financial statement showed a satisfactory advance. Mrs. Goldie, wife of the Rev. J. S. Goldie, president of the conference, and a missionary for 25 years in the Solomon Islands, gave a forceful address on the women’s side of the missionary work. In the evening a social gathering was held.
