STAR AND CRESCENT OVER CONSTANTINOPLE BRITISH FLYERS’ DISPLAY British Official Wireless RUGBY, Sunday. Thirty British air pilots of the Meet air arm off the aircraft-carrier Courageous yesterday gave a display of formation flying and aeronautics at Constantinople.. Admiral Sir Frederick Field, Commander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet, and a squadron of warships are still visiting the Turkish port. The display was the first of the kind ever given for the benefit of a foreign Power. , . In the filial event 16 machines formed a star and crescent (the Turkish flag) and, keeping in precise position flew in that formation over Constantinople and back to the Courageous.
