FAREWELL TO LEADERS
SALVATION ARMY CHANGES A farewell to Commissioner James Hay and Mrs. Hay, who have been in charge of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, was held in the Salvation Army Congress Hall last evening. Commissioner and Mrs. Hay left by the Niagara today for Toronto to take over the Canadian Eastern command. With them is their daughter, Captain Esther Hay. who will also take up a position in Canada. The good work done by the family for the Army in New Zealand was referred to by several speakers. Colonel L. Taylor, chief secretary for the Dominion, who presided, conveyed to them the best wishes of their fellow workers. Between 400 and 500 officers and friends marched along Queen Street to the hall prior to the meeting.
