CONTROL OF SANATORIA

CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT PALMERSTON NORTH GROUP SYSTEM ADVOCATED PALMERSTON X., Today. Arrangements have been completed by the Palmerston North Hospital Board to call a special meeting of North Island hospital boards at Palmerston North on December 3 to discuss taking over the control of the Pukeora and Otaki Sanatoria under the group system of administration. The Director-General of Health will attend and the Minister of Health will preside at the conference of the Hospital Boards' Association at Palmerston North. The group system has been endorsed by the department, which is therefore, it is stated, prepared to hand over the sanatoria. All the boards in the North Island will be represented at the conference independent of the particular group they are in.
