Mr. Griggs was one of the j earliest members of the Orient Lodge. : 1.0.0. F. and graduated through all the j chairs to the office of D.D.G.M. He • w as also a member of the Huia Masonic Lodge. Formerly he was president of the Palmerston North Bowling Club and was one of the original members of the old Palmerston North Rifles.
