MR. T. GRIGGS
The death ha*s occurred at Palmerston North of Mr. Thomas Griggs, a well-known resident, at the age of 78. 1 Born in England Mr. Griggs came to New Zealand in 1873 and went to the Wairarapa later moving to Palm- • erston North where he lived until his death. Mr. Griggs was one of the j earliest members of the Orient Lodge. : 1.0.0. F. and graduated through all the j chairs to the office of D.D.G.M. He • w as also a member of the Huia Masonic Lodge. Formerly he was president of the Palmerston North Bowling Club and was one of the original members of the old Palmerston North Rifles. ' Mr. Griggs is survived by a widow. • •oe son and four daughters. In addition, there ai-p grandchildren j ,ancl one great-grandchild.
