Enjoyable Dance and Card Evening
STAFF OF JOHN COURT, LTD
A delightful dance was held by the staff of Alessrs. John Court. Ltd., in the inter-house club rooms on Saturday, a large number of club members and friends being present.
In addition to dancing, bridge and 500 were played, the card rooms and lounge being attractively arranged with Kenya palms, pussy willow and arum lilies. In the ballroom palms and festoons of wistaria made a charming setting for the lovely frocks. The supper room had been arranged with bowls of carnations and deep pink ixias. Excellent dance music was supplied by the Internationals. Commiitee members were: Alesdanies McEwan, Winnall, Codsail, Aliases Steele, Walters, Alunce, Gleeson, Mincher, Boon, Sishman, Hansen, St. Clare, Jury, Gaffney, AlcAlillan, O’Connell. Salter, Alessrs. Davidson, ITobday, Hawke, Watson, Williams, Ashley, Stewart. Daney, Blakie. The winners at bridge were: Mr. AlcAnnally and Airs. Thorpe. A consolation prize was awarded to Airs. Tees. Aliss C Durham and Airs. G. Alattocks won the 500 prizes. Consolation prize, Mrs. A Maxwell. Among those present were: Airs. T. Davidson, who wore a chic frock of coral embossed georgette; Airs. F. 11. Hobday, period frock of pale blue georgette, with pink shoulder posy; Airs. Alinchin, pale biscuit georgette, with oriental trimming; Airs. F. Williams, burgundy and gold lame frock; Airs. Codsall, praline pink georgette frock; Airs.
