SOCIAL EVENING

OTAHUHU CROQUET CLUB A very enjoyable social and dance was held recently in the Kingsford Hall, Otahuhu, by the members of the Otahuhu Croquet Club. The hall was prettily decorated with streamers of the club colours, and bowls of gay spring flowers. There was a good attendance of members of the club and their friends present. The dance music was supplied byMessrs. Martin and Papesch, and extras were played by Mesdames Gillies and Walters. The duties of master of ceremonies were fulfilled by Mr. Rugg. . A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr. G. V. Pearce and Mrs. Flood, and a lucky-number waltz by Mr. and Mrs. James Todd. Between dances a number of enjoyable musical items were contributed by Miss Stainfleld. Mrs. Walters. Messrs. Lonergan and Brough, vocal solos; Mr. Martin, humorous items.
