KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR
WOMAN’S HEAD INJURED ACCIDENT AT ONEHUNGA As Miss E. Hunter alighted from a tramcar in Lower Queen Street, Onehunga, at 6 o’clock last evening she was struck by a motor-car driven by Mr. J. McMillan, an insurance agent. She received severe injuries to the head and body and was attended by Dr. W. Howard Thomas. Two trams were approaching the Onehunga terminus when they were met by another tramcar travelling in j the opposite direction on a single line j of tracks. The car on which Miss ; Hunter was riding pulled up almost : opposite her home so she decided to alight there instead of going on to ' the terminus. Mr. McMillan was ! passing at the time and his car struck : the girl as she stepped on to the roadj way. This morning Miss Hunter is progressing satisfactorily.
