Obituary

MRS. E. KISSLING Mrs. Elizabeth Kissling died yesterday at her home in Burieigh Street at the age of 85. Mrs. Kissling came to New Zealand in 1857 with her parents and in 1868 married the late Mr. C. F. E. Kissling, son of the late Archdeacon Kissling. She was a well known soprano in her early days and frequently appeared in performances given by the Nelson Philharmonic Society and the Auckland Choral Society. For many years she was prominently identified with church activities, and was an energetic worker in the parish of Holy Sepulchre. Mrs. Kissling is survived by one son and two daughters. MR. ELON BOND The death of Mr. Elon Bond, a well-known Auckland businessman, occurred yesterday at his home in Market Road. Remuera, at the age of 78. Mr. Bond, who came to New Zealand in 1866 with his parents, was one of the partners in the firm of Bond and Bond, general merchants. A manager of St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, Remuera. he was actively interested in the prohibition cause. Mr. Bond is survived by his widow and three children. -------
