WAIKATO TENNIS

HINT OF DISRUPTION From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. The possibility of secession from the W'aikato Lawn Tennis Association over the question of affiliation levy loomed large in discussions at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Suburban Lawn Tennis Sub-Association last evening. Delegates stated that while they had no objection to the increase in affiliation fees to the sub-associa-tion they strongly objected to an additional levy to the parent body. It was decided to raise the subassociation fees to Is 6d a pla3*ing member. The incoming executive was instructed to oppose any increase in affiliation fees to the Waikato Association beyond 6d a member. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. E. R. Marsh ; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. Bolton, J. A. Wainscott. J. Boyd, W. A. Gwynne, B. Robertson, H. Blackwood, R. Darrow, T. Halcrow, and G. McPherson; selection committee, Messrs. F. J. McCullagh, A. Fallows and Alexander; secretary, Mr. A. Fallows; auditor, Mr. E. R. Marsh; treasurer, Mr. F. J. McCullagh: trustee of carnival funds. Mr. McCullagh. The annual report stated that 10 clubs were affiliated, the membership totalling 442. Three new clubs, St. Mary’s, St. John’s, and Frankton Old Pupils, were admitted and notice was received that Fairfield and Frankton Clubs had disbanded.
