AUCKLAND ACCEPTANCES

TOMORROW (Friday) evening at 5 o’clock sharp, Mr. A. G. Mabee, secretary of the Auckland Trotting Club, will close down the shutters at the acceptance window, and any owners or trainers arriving after the hour strikes will receive a nonstarter’s ticket for the opening day of the fixture. The Auckland Spring Meeting, a popular one with lightharness enthusiasts. eventuates this year on October 26 and 28 and promises to be one of the most successful ever held by the club. Judging by the large number handicapped for the first day. Secretary Mabee will be kept busy tomorrow with the acceptances. Owners and trainers should, however, get in •arly and not run the risk of arriving at the club’s office when the hst has closed.
