HIGH COURT JUDGE
SIR MONTAGUE SHEARMAN RESIGNS British Official Wireless RUGBY, Tuesday. Sir Montague Shearman has resigned his office of Judge of the High Court of Justice, King’s Bench Division. This he has held since April, 1914. His resignation is due to illhealth. Sir Montague Shearman was born on April 7, 1557. He was educated at Merchant Taylors’ and St. John’s College, Oxford. He was admitted a barrister of the Inner Temple, ISSI, and was made a K.C.. 1908. He has written works on athletics. He was the joint author of “Football, Its History for Five Centuries,” and “Athletics and Football” (Badminton Library). He ran and played Rugby for Oxford, and at one time was amateur champion for the 100yds and quarter-mile.
