NO INCREASE MEANTIME An emphatic denial that he had promised an immediate increase in salaries in the Post and Telegraph Department has been given to the Auckland executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union by the Post-master-General, the Hon. J. B. Donald. Recently the executive wrote protesting against statements made by the Minister at public functions, where it was . alleged he had promised an all-rotind increase in wages. The reply received by the union was to the effect that there had been no avowal of an intention to increase, merely a promise of investigation.
