BIGGER BIBLE CLASSES
BAPTISTS’ ANNUAL REPORT Encouraging reports, recording steady growth, were presented by the Young Men's «nd the Young Women’s Bible Class Unions at the Baptist Conference yesterday. Tlie afternoon was occupied with discussions on temperance teaching, mid-week activities, and the training of teachers. The Rev. E. S. Tuckwell, who presided in the evening, presented the Baptist Union shield for Scripture examinations to the Mnnurewa Home. Three long-service diplomas for services extending over 50 years were awarded to Messrs. A. 15. Whalers, G. W. Wix, and W. Clark. Miss Jennie Street spoke of the Christian Endeavour movement, and the part it should play in the Church in New Zealand, and am address on “Tlie Place of the Child in Human Lite” was delivered by the Rev. L. B. Busfield. ,
