MOTOR-THEFT CHARGES
GARAGE OWNERS FACE COURT CASE AT TAUMARUNUI I Press Association TAUMARUNUI, Today. I Before justices of the peace this | morning John Martin Bishara', a ; garage proprietor, and Geoffrey Alva Trayburn, general manager of the ! firm of Bishara Brothers, appeared to answer jointly 14 charges of the theft j of motor vehicles and one of fraud. ! One charge of theft and one of false I pretences were also preferred against Trayhurn. Detective Walsh prose- ! cuted and Mr. A. E. Seaton represented Trayhurn and Mr. J. A. Gordon appeared on behalf of Bishara. The charge of theft of an Oldsmobile car against Bishara and Trayhurn was taken first. Detective Walsh said the charges numbered 15 altogether and in the majority of cases double financing had been committed by defendants. Accused pleaded not guilty and were committed to the next session of the Supreme Court at Hamilton for trial, i The other charges are now being i heard.
