OPOTIKI ROWING CLUB
From Our Own Correspondent OPOTIKI, Tuesday.
The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Opotiki Rowing Club last night:—Patron, Mr. G. S. Moody; president, Mr. W. Burrett; vice-president, Mr. V. Hodgson; captain, Mr. A. Breed; vice-captain, Mr. G. Dawson; starter, Mr. T. Savage; timekeeper, Mr. M. Larmer; secretary, Mr. P. Fox; assistant-secretary, Mr.. D. Pearse; treasurer, Mr. D. Pearse; committee, the officers and Messrs. S. Dyason, E. Webb, J. Larmer, D. Morris and T. Morrell. The annual subscriptions are: Seniors, one guinea; juniors, 15s; and high school boys, 7s 6d. The annual report showed that the past season had been most successful, despite the fact that the club had been dormant for some years. The president said the. prospects for the present year were very bright. It was decided to make improvements at the club’s slip as soon as possible and to purchase a new boat.
