SOLD HIS MOTOR-CAR

MR. WILFORD AS HIGH COMMISSIONER? “NEVER BEEN DISCUSSED” THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Today. “1 have no more knowledge of who is going to be the next High Commissioner for New Zealand than you. The matter has never been discussed in Cabinet up to the present moment.” That was the definite answer given by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. T. M. Wilford, today when interviewed concerning the rumours that he was going to replace Sir James Parr as High Commissioner. Mr. Wilford intimated that he was tired of answering questions on the subject, and said that he had even been asked by a reporter if he had sold his motor-car because he was going to England as High Commissioner.

“Apparently I am not even allowed to sell my car,” he said.
