M.P’S VISIT TONGARIRO
NATIONAL PARK CHATEAU PRAISED WEEK-END HOLIDAY From Our Oxen JZeporter. WELLINGTON. Today. About 30 members of Parliament from both Houses, with their wives and daughters, visited Tongariro National Park during- the week-end at the invitation of the Tongariro Park Tourist Company. Leaving Wellington by the Daylight Limited on Saturday the party arrived at Waimarino at about four o'clock in tlie afternoon and was taken by car to Chateau Tongariro. On Sunday members of tlie party visited various places of interest in the district and most of them returned to Wellington yesterday. Mr. W. D. Lysnar, M.P., said that they were all pleased with the design and comfort of the dHateau. It was in an ideal place and was, he thought, one of the finest hotel buildings in New Zealand.
