“MANHATTAN COCKTAIL” The sensational mystery film, “The Hole in the Wall,” will close its session at the Roxy Theatre this evening. It is an all-talking production, and is made by a cast of Broadway stage players. The settings are weird, mysterious, and interest-compelling. An atmosphere of awesome plotting and

clever faking of the occult art pervades the scenes, and the eyes are forced to alert attentiveness by the uncanniness of it al. “Mix a beautiful girl with two men—one good, one rich. Add Broadway’s gaieties, heartaches and temptations, and

you have a tingling,. refreshing, 1929stvle “Manhattan Cocktail.” This is the way the sparkling backstage melodrama in which Nancy Carroll and Richard Arlen are co-starred is described by the title writers. This is the biggest step upward for these two Paramount .players, and, according to advance information, they are the biggest things found in moving pictures in a long time. In addition to the two stars, ‘ “Manhattan Cocktail," which the Roxy Theatre will show this evening, has several sequences in which Marian Morgan’s beautiful dancers show off to good advantage. It is a synchronised picture.

The new programme will include a number of new talkie features.
