THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE of the Associated Chambers of Commerce opened at the Auckland Town Hall this morning. In the front row are seen Mr. Norton Francis (Christchurch), the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Industries and Commerce, who opened the conference, Mr. C. P. Agar (acting-president of the Associated Chambers), Mr, G. Baildon, Mayor of Auckland, and Mr. H. T. Merritt, president of Auckland Chamber.
