ARMY OF SCHOLARS TESTED AT STUDIOS FOR COMEDY SERIES

THREE hundred and twenty-six boys and girls of the “just out of high school” age were interviewed and given screen tests recently at the Universal Studio by a director in search of exact types for a series of comedies. The picture will be modelled along the lines of the “Collegians” series but the stories will not be confined to college life. They are to be dubbed the “Sporting Youth” series, and out of the many boys and girls interviewed Robert Foster, Edward Morgan, Kay McCoy and Alice Doll have been selected for the leading roles. The series will consist of 12 pictures, all in dialogue.
