FIXTURES

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE October 30: “Journey’s End.” October (indef.): “Dracula” and “No. 17,” Nat. Madison and Bertha Riccardo. November 27, December , 19: "The Desert Song,” Dance Fairfax. ST. JAMES THEATRE Now Playing: Jim Gerald Revue Company. COMING Hector St. Clair Revue Company. “Dido Dady.” “Baby Cyclone” and “Good News,” Elsie Prince and Jimmy Godden. Helen Patterson will return to U.S.A. when “The Five O’clock Girl” strikes her last top note, as her contract has not been renewed. She was to have played this musical comedy in New Zealand. Ernest Dotinga, the Dondon comedian, will stage the following revues in Australia shortly:—“Dock Stock and Barrel,” “August, 1914,” “The Police Force,” “Khaki,” “Sailors Don’t Care,” “The Mouse Trap” and “House Full.” Roy Russell, here in “Tip Toes,” has been chosen to play the Derek Oldham part in the Dondon revival of “Rose Marie.” He has been taken from the chorus of “Bitter Sweet,” the Coward operetta. * * * The J. C. Williamson firm has in Australia lost the Tivoli Vaudeville Theatre, Sydney, which has been condemned, and sold by its owner, Mr. Hugh D. Mclntosh. This rather upsets the vaudeville business for the time being. It is possible that the Melbourne Tivoli will be wired for talkies. "A three sveeks’ nightmare” is how Marie Burke described the experiences of herself and the cast in the new musical play, “Open Your Eyes,” which collapsed after the Moss Empire Theatre had confiscated the script, band parts, dresses and everything belonging to the production. This occurred after the appearance of the play in Glasgow, Scotland. Among the principals were Marie Burke, Vera Pearce, Joe Coyne and Robert Hale.
