Mrs. Goelet died on February 23 last and left estate considerably in excess’ of £1,000,000, but of which that for the English grant is valued at £4,279. Mrs. Goelet, who was at one time a leading London hostess, was the widow *of Mr. Ogden Goelet and daughter of Mr. Richard Thornton Wilder, banker. Of the residue of her property, after family bequests, two-fifths is to go to Robert, and three-fifths to the Duchess of Roxburghe, or her issue.
