FULL ECLIPSE OF SUN

EXPEDITION FROM DOMINION Although the full eclipse of the sun does not take place until October next year, preparations are already being made for the expedition from New Zealand. The expedition will observe the eclipse from “Tin Can” Island. Considerable preliminary work has to be undertaken to carry out the work of the expedition. A cablegram received in Wellington from Dr. L. J. Comrie, of the Nautical Almanac Office, London, stated that the New Zealand astronomers will be able to borrow a 12-inch coelostat and a 19inch coronagraph camera.
