THE week on 'Change closed this morning with the market showing a considerably brighter tone, with recorded iigures for business transacted over the past 24 hours the highest for many days. The interest of investors is spread over a comparatively wide range.

Farmers’ ,Co-op. of Canterbury (deb.), £94 10s. Robinson Ice Cream Issue New Shares The directors of Robinson Ice Cream Company. Limited, advise that they are now issuing the expected quota of new shares for the purpose of financing expansion of the company’s business. The shares are being issued on a basis of one new share for every ten now held, with a minimum issue to one shareholder of ten, and a maximum issue of 300 shares. Applications must be in by October 31. At the moment buyers are quoted on 'Change at 24s 6d and no sellers. The company paid 10 per cent, last year. Dominion Investment Listed
A newcomer to the ranks of listed stocks is the scrip of the Dominion Banking and Investment Association,
! Limited. This company's scrip is held over a comparatively wide range in Auckland, and its shareholders have become accustomed to participate in a dividend of 7 per cent. Sellers at 22s Gd this morning were unsupported. The dividend is now being distributed. Heavy Trading in Banks Dealings in bank shares continue to account for an appreciable percentage of the business transacted on ’Change.
