NO SECRET EXPEDITION
NORWAY’S ANTARCTIC VENTURES WHALING RESEARCH Australian and N.Z. Press Association Reed. 10 a.m. OSLO, Thursday. Dealing- with comments in foreign newspapers regarding the objects of the Norwegian Antarctic expedition, the local papers assert that secrecy does not exist. There is no competition, as the need for it does not exist. The whaler Norwegia has been conducting scientific exploration for two years, the result of which will be published shortly. The work continues, including a study of whales. There is no intention of searching for new land, but if uncharted and unclaimed land is found, the Norwegian flag- will naturally be hoisted.
